Superintendent – Bangor Area School District, Northampton County, PA.  Appointment early Summer, 2017.  Enrollment approximately 3,000; grades K-12.  The successful candidate with demonstrate visionary leadership and have experience with Strategic Planning. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on empowering teams to achieve effective results; and experience using academic performance data to drive the achievement of all student learners. Must demonstrate consistently high personal and professional ethics. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage with the community and develop consensus among diverse community stakeholders; ability to maintain positive staff and board relations; and the ability to preserve traditions of the community with the progress needed to attain future goals. Must have a sincere interest in the education and personal development of student learners. Salary negotiable and will be competitive, based on training and experience, qualifications and meeting board criteria including but not limited to the skills listed above.  PA letter of eligibility required.
