Northampton Community College seeks a dynamic academic administrator for the role of Assistant Director, Education Department.
Assistant Director - This 12 month, administrative position reports to the Director of Education. The Assistant Director provides leadership, management and supervision to part-time instructors in 4 associate degree programs in education and non-credit professional development programs. The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating field experiences for education majors. Candidate with successful supervisory experience in an educational setting is preferred. Application deadline is May 24, 2017.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in education, early childhood education, or a related discipline from a regionally accredited college. Ability to supervise part-time faculty is required. Teaching experience and knowledge of a wide array of educational settings including early childhood, public schools, and higher education is preferred. Other qualities sought include successful teaching of online college courses, expertise in curriculum development and academic assessment in higher education and an appreciation of an arts-based curricular framework.
