The Board of School Directors for the Pennridge School District, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced, student-centered, highly qualified leader to fill the position of Superintendent of Schools. Applications must be submitted on or before Monday, March 12, 2018 with the successful candidate to start on July 1, 2018.
We are seeking a Superintendent of Schools who will embrace, drive, and expand the vision and mission of the district to ensure Pennridge’s excellence in education for all students.
It is paramount that our students graduate with knowledge of their talents, passions and what is necessary for them to remain life-long learners and productive citizens. These objectives need to be accomplished in a community-oriented environment that is safe, welcoming, nurturing, student-centered and respectful of all. The Pennridge School District is located approximately 30 miles north of Philadelphia in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The district encompasses approximately 95 square miles with a total population of 45,000.
The school district includes 7 elementary schools (K-5 with 3,167 students), 3 middle schools (6-8 with 1,758 students) and 1 high school (9-12 with 2,313 students). The district employs approximately 490 teachers, 74 percent of which have advanced degrees, and approximately 445 additional staff members, including part-time personnel.

Instructional Leadership - The student-centered work experience of our new Superintendent should clearly demonstrate instructional leadership from the classroom through supervisory positions with increasing levels of responsibility.
Communications - The communication style of our new Superintendent should encourage new ideas and discussions from the community, staff, and students, while being strongly grounded in honesty and transparency.
Community - Our new educational leader must be an experienced professional who embraces his/her role as a highly visible representative of our district and who welcomes every opportunity to cultivate strong ties within our community.
Fiscal/Business Management - Our new Superintendent must have a visionary and innovative approach to school operations, balanced against a solid business sense and proven track record of fiscal responsibility.

Our company is looking for an enthusiastic individual to work one on one with a child diagnosed with ASD in a home & community setting. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively apply the principles of ABA to teach academic skills, collect and record data. The candidate must be self motivated, able to follow IEP goals, SDI's, and provide progress reports.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with Autism using principles of ABA, or in current educational field/study.
• Patient, caring, dedicated, motivated, creative and enthusiastic in instruction.
• Preferred but not required -Current RBT credential, or currently enrolled in either an RBT or graduate level ABA program
• Ability to follow the learner's motivation to keep student engaged, and learning
• Current clearances (FBI, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse)
• Must be dependable, on time, use time wisely.
• 15 hours per week, M-F 1:00-4:00
• Up to $30/hr. depending on experience

We’re recruiting a postdoctoral research fellow to work with Dr. Laura Shapiro (Aston University), Dr. Jessie Ricketts (Royal Holloway, University of London) and Professor Adrian Burgess (Aston University) on a Nuffield Foundation funded project to examine how reading ability and reading practice influence vocabulary growth. They will be based at Aston University (Birmingham, UK) and would need to be willing to travel to Royal Holloway, University of London, for team meetings.
The successful applicant will help to train and supervise a team of Research Assistants in collecting data from children participating in the Aston Literacy Project (a large longitudinal study of reading from school-entry) during the transition to secondary school. They will also help to train and supervise Research Assistants in conducting an intervention study to test ways to increase the amount of reading children do.
