These course hours can be applied to the coursework required for the Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist licensure (you will need to meet additional hours and requirements to qualify).

This four-course certificate is designed for educators who want to infuse innovative game-based pedagogy into their formal or informal educational settings. Students will gain a rich understanding of cognition and instructional design. Instruction is available in-person or online.

The Certificate in Global Citizenship requires the completion of 19 credits, is open to undergraduates from all of Lehigh’s colleges, and prepares students for engaged living in a culturally diverse and rapidly changing world.

International School Counseling
International School Counseling

Career, academic, cultural transition, and mental health issues have become a main focus in international schools. This certificate emphasizes counseling in community, school, and family settings within international communities. The certificate program consists of a concentration of 4 courses (12 credit hours) in the area of International School Counseling. Students can complete the 4 courses over the span of one year; however, this is not required. 

Learning Design in Educational and Professional Settings

Lehigh's 12-credit Certificate program is aimed at post-certification in-service teachers, informal educators, and professionals seeking to expand their pedagogical or andragogical skills and knowledge of learning design and instructional technology.  

Latinx Mental Health

This four-course, interdisciplinary graduate certificate program is designed for current and future professionals who want to enhance their skills serving Latin American people living in the United States.

Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness

The Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness Certificate Program is a 4-course, 12-credit program that has been designed to train both pre-service and in-service educators in meeting the social-emotional and mental health and needs of all students, and has been designed to meet the educational requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness PreK-12 Endorsement.

Lehigh's TESOL Certificate is designed for individuals interested in the TESOL profession, whether in domestic or international settings. This practical and versatile four-course certificate will assist current or prospective educators in developing their pedagogical expertise in TESOL best practices that they can utilize in higher education, adult/literacy education, and English as a foreign language (EFL) education classrooms.

Leveling up to a Master's Degree?

If you are working on your Lehigh Certificate and plan to enroll as a Master's student you must first apply (and be offered acceptance) to become a Master's student in the College of Education.
