My research broadly focuses on the links between health, cognition, and well-being in older adults. Most recently, I have been investigating how ageist attitudes, older adult health, trainee personal characteristics, and training factors influence psychology trainees' interest and expectations about working with older adult clients. In 2022, one of my publications won the Mather Institute Innovative Research on Aging Award. In addition, I use my skills as a quantitative psychologist to collaborate with colleagues in the College of Education and statistical consultant on a wide variety of education-based topics (e.g., numeracy skill development; understanding predictors of academic and behavioral performance; mathematics problem-solving). My teaching in graduate-level courses encompasses structural equation models, univariate and multivariate statistical models, advanced research methods in applied psychology, and introductory statistics. I am currently the faculty coordinator for admissions to the on-campus master's and doctoral counseling programs.
