Office of Professional Certification

Welcome to the Office of Professional Certification! Our office is responsible for many functions that relate to current students and the support of our teacher-education programs. 

For example:

  • We are the liaison to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)  (which includes TIMS, the PDE Program Major Review, Act 48 and Continuing Education). 
  • We collect Clearances for all programs in which students go out to schools for experience. 
  • We facilitate placements for our students in field experiences including student teaching experiences.
