Amalia Garcia Santiago is the recipient of the 2020 Graduate Life Leadership Award.
This award is given to a student who has shown exemplary commitment, leadership, and service to the Lehigh graduate student community and whose efforts have made significant contributions to graduate student life.
Amalia is a first-year master’s student in the School Counseling Program in the College of Education.
As her recommenders noted, “Amalia has exhibited qualities of leadership that Lehigh values-- placing others before oneself, being an active promoter of inclusive practices in the COE and her unwavering dedication to bettering life in the COE for her peers. She is a true leader.”
