Linda Bambara Awarded APBS Leadership Award

Congratulations to Linda M. Bambara, Ed.D., Professor Emeritus of Special Education, Lehigh University. Bambara was recently recognized by the Association for Positive Behavior Support with an APBS Leadership Award. Her nominators point to a career dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of individuals with disabilities and promoting PBS across the lifespan.
 
While at Lehigh, Bambara served as executive director of Lehigh Support for Community Living, a university-based residential service for adults with IDD. Her publications include over 75 journal articles/chapters and 7 books  Bambara continues her professional involvement in retirement as co-chair of the Home and Community PBS Network which helps to maintain a home/community focus in APBS.  
 
In response to the award Bambara says,"There's nothing better than being recognized by your peers! I appreciate the nomination from my colleagues and the recognition from APBS. I'm especially grateful to be a part of the Positive Behavior Support Community dedicated to making a difference in people's lives."
