About
Global Programs
The College of Education’s Global Programs enrolls students from around the world in online and hybrid degrees and certificates. Our students work in education across the globe taking online asynchronous and synchronous courses during the school year and in-person classes at the Summer Institute. These mixed-format programs allow students to take advantage of the benefits of flexible online course content and immersive in-person learning.
All of the programs are built for full-time teachers, counselors and administrators and allow for the student to set their own pace through the sequence of the courses in their program. Our global degrees and certificates have prepared students to advance as educational leaders around the globe since 2001.

Summer Institute 2026 Information
The Summer Institute offers global students and local students the opportunity to engage with professors and fellow students in an in-person intensive learning environment outside of the US. The Summer Institute runs from late-June through the middle of July every year. The in-person classes are condensed into a week-long format with coursework extending through the end of summer. The location of the Summer Institute alternates between Europe and Asia each year.
International School Counseling certificate students and College Admissions Counseling certificate students take two in-person classes in the summer. International School Counseling master’s students take two in-person classes and one online class for two summers. Students are encouraged to take the recommended courses but may choose to take fewer classes each summer and return for additional summers.
In 2026, we will be offering two new courses on Artificial Intelligence in education. These hands-on courses will prepare students to find, evaluate, and implement AI tools in education. Students will engage with various AI tools to build their AI literacy, understand best practices for AI use, and discuss ethical considerations. Students can apply their learning, in the classroom, in educational leadership, and in policy. Students who complete both AI classes in Bangkok can continue with 2 additional online classes to receive the Artificial Intelligence and Learning Analytics certificate.
