Minyi Dennis has received a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support her project titled, "Exploring Sources of Heterogeneity in Supplemental Interventions for Students with Mathematics Difficulties within Multi-tiered Systems of Support: A Meta-Analysis." Dennis will be leading the efforts at Lehigh, working along with Zilong Pan as co-principal investigator.

Lehigh's College of Education is leading a new era of educational research and innovation with ImmersED, a pioneering project harnessing immersive technology and social-emotional learning (SEL) to reimagine how students experience and succeed in science. Built on collaboration between faculty researchers, classroom educators, and Lehigh undergraduate and graduate students, and supported by the Office of Creative Inquiry, ImmersED aims to engage diverse learners through active participation in dynamic, 360-degree science lessons that build both academic and social-emotional skills.

For instance, the National Center for Education Statistics reports that during the 2024-2025 school year, 74% of public schools in the United States faced difficulty hiring teachers to fill vacant positions. Furthermore, teachers indicate that a common reason why they leave the profession is they feel that teaching is an undervalued profession.
