Addressing the Critical Need for Highly Qualified Educators in the Commonwealth

Inspire Tuition Discount

Pennsylvania is currently facing a significant educator shortage in multiple areas, creating an urgent need for highly qualified and dedicated professionals in our schools. We recognize the profound impact that educators have on our communities. They are the frontline advocates for our youth, playing a critical role in supporting  academic achievement and social and emotional well-being of every student.

At Lehigh University’s College of Education, we believe deeply in the importance of education, and we are committed to being an active part of the solution to the educator shortage. We are dedicated to building a strong pipeline of exceptional educators who are ready to meet the diverse needs in our schools.

To support individuals who are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young adults, the College of Education is pleased to announce a new scholarship program, Inspire.

We are committed to a 15% tuition discount for students who pursue a master's degree with initial Pennsylvania Department of Education certification and enroll starting in the Summer of 2026 in the following high-need areas:

  • Elementary Education
  • Secondary Education
  • Special Education
  • School Counseling
  • School Psychology

We hope to inspire the next generation of teachers, counselors, and psychologists to step into these essential educator roles. Pennsylvania's students deserve the very best, and we are proud to invest in our future and support the professionals who will guide them.
