Woodhouse and Alvarenga Receive NIH Supplement Grant

Susan Woodhouse and Josselyn Alvarenga recently received an NIH Supplement Grant to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research Careers to advance their work over the next two years through the Hearts and Hands Together project.
Woodhouse is an associate professor, program director for the COE's Counseling Psychology Program, and director of the CARE Lab and Hands and Hearts Together. Alvarenga is a second year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program.
Supporting Parents of Children with Behavioral Challenges

Chen Shi’s research is focused on helping children with emotional behavioral disorder and ADHD, and their families.
Shi is happy she chose Lehigh’s College of Education for her doctoral work. “Lehigh is such a supportive environment—especially my program,” she says. “All the students are my allies—if I have a question, I either knock on a faculty door or I text my cohort,” she says. “It's a tight group that supports each other.”
Sandilos Awarded Frank Hook Assistant Professorship

Lia Sandilos, assistant professor in the COE's School Psychology program, was recently awarded a Frank Hook Assistant Professorship for academic years 2024 - 2025 and 2025 - 2026. Frank Hook Assistant Professorships are awarded to Lehigh’s most outstanding junior scholar-teachers who also foster personal interaction and mentoring relationships with students.
DuPaul Recognized as Most Prolific Author in the Field of ADHD

A recent bibliometric study recognizes COE Professor of School Psychology George DuPaul as the most prolific author in the field of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
