Dissertation Defense: Sean Morse
schedule8:00am - 8:00am
The College of Education has scheduled the final oral examination of Sean Morse for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in School Psychology. The title of the dissertation is Sustained Engagement in School-Based Intervention for High School Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders: Evaluation of Latent Class Trajectories and Multilevel Predictors.
Despite the promise of school-based interventions for adolescents with social-emotional and behavioral (SEB) problems, variability in treatment engagement remains a concern. Results of this study suggest many students may not receive adequate opportunities for intervening on SEB vulnerabilities and that future research should prioritize multidimensional assessment of treatment engagement and malleable facilitators that can be leveraged to optimize school mental health service outcomes.
