Jessica Condolo Hubsch ’18G Awarded Fulbright Scholarship

Jessica Condolo Hubsch ’18G, who received a master’s in globalization and educational change from Lehigh’s College of Education, has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Scholarship to Portugal.

In that role, Hubsch will serve as a cultural ambassador for the United States, assist with university-level English language education in Portugal and provide educational advising to Portuguese students interested in studying in the U.S.  She will begin her work in fall 2019 and continue to June 2020.

“I was actually at work when I received the news,” said Hubsch, programs manager for the Lehigh-United Nations Partnership. “I opened the email and I went into a kind of shock. I kept rereading the words, ‘I am pleased to congratulate you…’ because I couldn’t believe it was true. I’m very excited to start this new adventure… This is going to be an amazing opportunity for me and for my career in international education.”
