Miriam Schimmoller ‘87G has been recognized by The Washington Post as 2025 Teacher of the Year. Schimmoller, a third grade teacher at Oak Street Elementary School in Falls Church, Va., received her Lehigh M.Ed. in elementary education.

Counseling Psychology professor Chris Liang has been working with Raub Middle School teachers on creating trauma-responsive classrooms. The work is supported by a grant through the United Way and compliments a larger grant that supports an anti-violence pilot program at the school.

Over forty students, faculty and staff from the College of Education (COE)'s Global Programs are gathered in Athens, Greece for the start of the 2025 Summer Institute. Each year this experience offers students working in education from across the globe an opportunity to engage with professors and fellow students in an in-person, intensive learning environment.
