Schimmoller Selected as Teacher of the Year

Miriam Schimmoller ‘87G has been recognized by The Washington Post as 2025 Teacher of the Year. Schimmoller, a third grade teacher at Oak Street Elementary School in Falls Church, Va., received her Lehigh M.Ed. in elementary education.
"Leading with kindness and a gentle yet firm approach, [Schimmoller] is known for her ability to make learning fun through various activities," The Washington Post shares. "She inspires a desire to learn and achieve by encouraging students to explore their individual interests."
