The Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness (SEBW) certificate program is designed to train both pre-service and in-service educators to meet the social-emotional and mental health needs of all students.
Overview
The Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness (SEBW) certificate program is a 4-course, 12-credit program that provides educators with the tools to promote mental health wellness for all students. Candidates are also trained in supplementary and intensive services that go beyond universal prevention and intervention approaches to meet the full continuum of student need.
The program has been designed to be relevant to an interdisciplinary group of pre-service and in-service educators, including teachers, special education teachers, school counselors, school psychologists and school administrators, and meets the educational requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness PreK-12 Endorsement.

Please Note: Lehigh is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this program. Current Lehigh students with an F-1 visa may enroll in this program concurrently with a degree. Students outside of the US may enroll in this program and complete it entirely online.
Course Requirements
The Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness (SEBW) certificate program provides training on supporting the social, emotional and behavioral wellbeing of all Pre-K to 12 students through flexible graduate training experiences.
Courses are offered fall, spring and summer and may be online or in-person based on course selections. Some courses require field experiences that can be met in a number of ways. The program has been designed so that both pre-service and in-service educators across a range of educational fields can select a pathway through the program.
Students are encouraged to select the pathway that best meets their professional needs.
Pennsylvania Department of Education Endorsement
This program meets the educational requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness (SEBW) PreK-12 Endorsement. You must have a level I or level II certificate to add this endorsement; this includes Instructional, Educational Specialist, Supervisory, Administrative and Vocational Instructional certificates.
