Welcome Reception - Dr Murthy

Sociology & Anthropology invites the university community to welcome the new Lucy G Moses Chair in Socioogy, Dr Dhiraj Murthy. Dr Murthy specializes in AI in society, health misinformation, and social media and will have a courtesy appointment in teh College of Health. He is establishing a computational media lab and although this is NOT a recruiting event, he is especially interested in meeting students interested in cutting edge research in social media. Light refreshments with a vegetarian/vegan menu. 4-6 pm
