Alyssa Perez is a graduate student in the COE's School Counseling program. Her passion for the field grew from her desire to support students, not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. Her professional goal is to help create safe, supportive environments where all students feel seen and valued.
Sara Kangas is this year's recipient of the AERA Second Language Research Special Interest Group (SIG) Mid-Career Award. She received this award for her research on equitable learning opportunities for multilingual learners with disabilities.
