Kologie Recognized for Administrative Excellence
May. 8, 2025
Carla Kologie, the 2025 Hillman Non-Exempt Staff Award recipient, serves as executive assistant to the dean in the College of Education.
From managing field placements and licensure records to navigating leadership transitions, Kologie has consistently demonstrated precision, calm under pressure, and a deep commitment to supporting students, faculty and staff.
But Kologie's work doesn’t stop when the work day ends. Since 2018, she has volunteered as a Survivor Support Advocate, providing 24/7 care and guidance to students impacted by gender-based violence. She also mentors the Break the Silence peer educators, helping them develop programming around prevention, healthy relationships, and advocacy. With Kologie's steady support, events like Take Back the Night and bystander intervention trainings have expanded and strengthened.
Whether through her service on campus committees, her leadership in the College of Education, or her work supporting student wellness and safety, Kologie exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond. Her warmth, reliability and passion for helping others have made her an essential part of the Lehigh community.

The Hillman Non-Exempt Staff Award is given annually to a member of the exempt staff for excellence in administrative, teaching, or research work or for advancing the interests of the university.
