Mahone Offers Advice to Avoid the Summer Slide

If you have school-aged kids and are looking for ways to prevent summer learning loss, Abby Mahone '16 Ed.D. has some advice for you. An adjunct instructor in the COE's Educational Leadership program and a director at Moravian Academy, Mahone outlines how parents can avoid summer slide.
She shares her comments in the current issue of Lehigh Valley Style. “Consistency matters more than intensity,” Mahone said. “The goal isn’t to replicate school at home, or cram at the last minute, but to keep brains active in everyday ways.”
