McDermott Receives Williams Prize

Sarah McDermott has received a Williams Prize from Lehigh for outstanding work in writing and performance. Her entry, titled "Adolescents' Gender-Typed Communication Behaviors and Friendship Experiences," was awarded first place in the Sociology, Anthropology and Psychology category for Spring 2025.

McDermott is a 4 + 1 accelerated master's degree student. She will graduate with her bachelor's degree in psychology this spring and begin her master's program with the COE in Elementary Education this summer.

    Araujo-Junior Selected as Elizabeth V. Stout Dissertation Award Recipient

    Lehigh’s College of Education has selected Robson M. Araujo-Junior to receive the Elizabeth V. Stout Award for his dissertation, “Watershed Explorers: Digital Gameful Learning Experience Gameplay Investigated with Immersive Virtual Reality within a Technology-Enhanced Lifelong Learning Ecology.” 

    The award recognizes significant scholarly achievement in a dissertation project.

    Kologie Recognized for Administrative Excellence

    Carla Kologie, the 2025 Hillman Non-Exempt Staff Award recipient, serves as executive assistant to the dean in the College of Education.

    From managing field placements and licensure records to navigating leadership transitions, Carla has consistently demonstrated precision, calm under pressure, and a deep commitment to supporting students, faculty, and staff.

    Jiayan Zhu

    Zhu Selected for Graduate Life Leadership Award

    Jiayan Zhu, has received the COE Graduate Life Leadership Award. This award recognizes a graduate student in each of Lehigh's five colleges who exhibits exemplary commitment, leadership and service to the university's graduate student community and whose efforts have made significant contributions to graduate student life.
