Our faculty are committed to conducting significant research that develops insight and understanding, enriches cultures, contributes to pressing social needs, and provides the basis for national and international education policy. Here you will find internationally recognized scholars who are committed to a scientist-practitioner model of learning who are highly engaged in disseminating research findings and best practices into our communities.
Our researchers use time-honored and cutting-edge approaches to study diverse aspects of education and human services, with a focus on research that is “use-inspired.” That is, we seek to improve the fundamental understanding of the changing world of education and human services and to produce methods that are useful and used by decision makers, educators, the private sector, and others.
Through our research projects, we foster the intellectual development and personal formation of our graduate students. Our students work side-by-side with their advisors creating new knowledge and enhancing the lives of children and adults.
