The College of Education consists of a single department, the Department of Education and Human Services and with six distinct academic programs: Counseling Psychology, Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, School Psychology, Special Education and Teacher Education.
We grant a wide variety of master's degrees across disciplines. Our graduates receive training to develop advanced skills within a specialized body of theoretical and applied knowledge; higher order skills in analysis, critical evaluation and professional application; and the ability to solve complex problems and think rigorously and independently.
Education Specialist Degree
Lehigh University’s Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Psychology program is approved by the National Association of School Psychologists as a way to train individuals to become school-based practitioners.
Our doctoral degree programs employ a scientist/practitioner model of learning and focus on best practices. We believe that research is not separate from application or practice. Our doctoral students collaborate closely with faculty to generate new theories and classification systems, experimental approaches to assessing pressing issues, and a wide range of models within the content of specific research agendas.
Pennsylvania State Certifications
Students in an education program leading to Initial or Professional certification are eligible for Pennsylvania State professional certification upon satisfaction of all certification requirements and degree/program requirements.
Earn a Lehigh University College of Education Certificate of Completion in the concentration that’s right for you! The knowledge and skills I attained while immersed in my doctoral studies at Lehigh serve me well each and every day of my professional life.
