I am a Counseling Psychologist, graduate of University of Maryland, College Park. I have been in private practice for over 25 years while also serving in various roles (e.g., director of community based mental health clinic, teaching, and supervising therapist trainees. I have published and presented on psychotherapy research (e.g., misunderstanding events in psychotherapy, therapist compassion, Consensual Qualitative Research). A member of APA's Division 29 (Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy) I have served on the Board and in Committee positions. I am also a member of the Society for Psychotherapy Research. I am currently have a telehealth only psychotherapy practice and teach Counseling Approaches and Theories. I enjoy watching sunsets and hummingbirds and contemplating this new world we live in.
