Dr. Bethany Detwiler

Adjunct Professor

Dr. Bethany Detwiler is a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University. She works in a private practice in Allentown, PA, as well as an adjunct professor at the graduate level for Lehigh's master's and doctoral programs in counseling. Her primary areas of clinical expertise lie in mood and anxiety disorders, interpersonal issues, identity development, and clinical supervision. Dr. Detwiler's theoretical orientation integrates psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy within a multicultural framework. She has research interests in multicultural identities, social justice, resilience, and well-being across the lifespan.

Outside of work, she is passionate about finding adventure through travel, food, and creative pursuits.
