Ms. Evon Zundel

Currently, Evon is a Technology Integration Specialist at Liberty and Freedom high schools in the Bethlehem Area School District in Bethlehem, PA. She collaborates with classroom teachers to develop authentic, active learning experiences and champion equitable use of technology. Her twenty-five year career in education includes teaching in the middle school Spanish classroom, leading desktop support in K-12 computing environments, and coordinating one of the first 1:1 learning initiatives in the state of PA.

In addition, she managed and supported a synchronous online language school that provided Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, German, French, Spanish and Latin instruction for approximately 400 K-20 students, yearly.  She has co-published research regarding multimodal usage of web conference software affordances as it relates to employing communicative language pedagogical approaches, actualization of student engagement, negotiation of meaning, and necessary staff development to further best practices.  She currently teaches TLT 472 - Online Teaching and Learning and TLT 470 - Technology for Teaching and Learning.
