When in Crisis: Prevention, Intervention and Response

Event Date:
Saturday, March 24, 2018 - 8:30am to 1:30pm
This event is hosted by the School Psychology Club and is open to all students, staff, faculty and community members. The colloquium will focus on K-12 schools' response to crises in the wake of some of our country's recent events.

This event will include sessions featuring school psychologists focusing on the issues of suicide prevention, gender violence and students impacted by crime. Some of the sessions will include materials that may be useful in training, or in preparation to facilitate discussion around the topic of crisis. As mass violence, mental health and other issues impact children's well-being, it is important that we are well informed by the research and prepared to respond to these events.
