Donegan Elementary School celebrates inauguration as COMPASS community school

Donegan Elementary School celebrated its inauguration as a COMPASS Community School this Wednesday. The COMPASS Community School program aims to take a more holistic approach to teaching than traditional schools, according to school principal Sonia Vasquez. She said the program helps kids grow through teaching them to work in a group and exposing them to new things through various community events.
