Dr. Christopher Liang, recipient of an APA Citizen Psychologist Presidential Citation by Dr. Jessica Henderson Daniel, APA President

Dr. Jessica Henderson Daniel, American Psychological Association (APA) President, has recognized Dr. Christopher Liang, professor of Counseling Psychology, as a Citizen Psychologist President. This initiative recognizes APA member psychologists who are recognized as exceptional in:

  • Serving as a leader in one's identified community.

  • Contributing to improving the lives of all through continued engagement in significant activities such as public service, volunteerism, board membership and other strategic roles beyond the day-to-day work of one's career.

  • Bringing psychological science and expertise to bear on existing challenges to improve community well-being locally, nationally and/or globally.

Dr. Daniel and the Citizen Psychologist team have been so impressed with the variety and quality of the activities in which Dr. Liang is engaged. Dr. Liang will participate on the panel for the Presidential Programming on Saturday, August 11th in the Moscone Center Rm 152 from 2:00-2:50PM.  He will present his journey as a Citizen Psychologist.
