Allison Zengilowski

Dr. Zengilowski is an educational psychologist who focuses on how people think about their own learning. In her research, she draws from perspectives on cognition and metacognition, motivation and emotions, and identity and lived experiences. In teaching, she prioritizes autonomy-supportive practices, often integrating design thinking and project-based learning into classroom instruction. She is passionate about supporting current and future scholars to use responsible and critical research methods.
