Kangas Awarded Spencer Foundation Grant

Dr. Sara Kangas, assistant professor in Lehigh's Special Education program, is the recipient of a Small Research Grant from the Spencer Foundation. The project is funded ($40,766) for one year and focuses on the barriers English learners with disabilities experience on their journey to reclassification. The title of the funded project is "When English Learners with Disabilities Become Long-Term English Learners."

Lehigh Top Ranked for Online Applied Behavior Analysis Graduate Certificate Program

Lehigh University has been identified as having one of the top online graduate certificate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis for 2020 in our recent ranking.  Lehigh University ranked #37.

The ranking was created using information from the NCES College Navigator database.  Colleges were selected based on student to faculty ratio, average graduate tuition rate, BCBA examination pass rates for 2018, and average graduate tuition rate per year.

Irem Bilgili-Karabacak, Special Education Doctoral Student Wins COE Student Leadership Award

Irem Bilgili-Karabacak is a doctoral student in the Special Education Program. Irem’s service work within Lehigh University and beyond are exemplary.

She has been serving in leadership roles in several student organizations at Lehigh, as well as standing as student representative for university level committees. Her work helps promote inclusion and diversity both within, and outside of, the Lehigh University community.

Lehigh University has been awarded top ranking status for multiple degree programs by Intelligent.com. Lehigh University was listed amongst hundreds of other competing institutions across the nation. The student-focused comprehensive research guide is based on an assessment of 1,604 accredited colleges and universities. Each program is evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment.
