Marisa Solé, a doctoral student in school psychology, and Lian Liu, a doctoral student in counseling psychology were awarded the Pennsylvania Psychological Foundation's Student Education Award for 2020.
Dr. Sara Kangas Named Frank Hook Assistant Professor
Dr. Sara Kangas, Assistant Professor of Special Education, has been named to the prestigious Frank Hook Assistant Professorship. This award is granted to junior faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to teaching. It was established in honor of Dr. Frank S. Hook, who from 1952 to 1989 taught in the University's Department of English.
Irem Bilgili-Karabacak, Special Education Doctoral Student Wins COE Student Leadership Award
Irem Bilgili-Karabacak is a doctoral student in the Special Education Program. Irem’s service work within Lehigh University and beyond are exemplary.
She has been serving in leadership roles in several student organizations at Lehigh, as well as standing as student representative for university level committees. Her work helps promote inclusion and diversity both within, and outside of, the Lehigh University community.
Lehigh’s Graduate Education Program Earn High Rankings
Graduate programs in the College of Education were highly ranked among the nation’s schools in the recently released 2021 U.S. News and World Report Graduate School Rankings.
The College of Education was ranked 56 out of 253 education colleges.
The rankings appear in the U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools 2021” guidebook, which is accessible online today.
